Ludlow offers fantastic opportunity’s for tourists to get a real taste of Shropshire life and England. It is renowned for its food fair and the Ludlow festival. Pubs and market stalls will be in full swing this time of year with many new beers and fine selections of foods and cheeses available. Not to be missed are also the Ludlow Michelin starred restaurants which have catapulted Ludlow to fame in the last several years with many leading tabloids featuring articles on Ludlow’s 4+ restaurants.

The racing season is also a popular time for visitors to visit Ludlow and the are many point to point races in the surrounding areas like Bitterly and so forth. Ludlow race course itself is very famous and unusually has a B road running through the middle of it which is closed during the races. Whilst at the races you can also treat yourself to ale and fine food which is supplied by the local towns folk who are very keen themselves to watch many horses cross the finishing line.

Ludlow is also famous for its Shakespeare productions that are shown at the castle during every Ludlow festival. Mike & Liz themselves attend every year and both love the effort that is made by the production crew and cast (many of whom are TV celebrates in their own right) to put on a stunning performance set in the historic castle grounds.

The self catering accommodation is set is beautiful rolling countryside and when you arrive you will be greeted by Mike and Liz who will also stock your fridge with a complementary bottle of wine and some milk and no extra charge. There are also many good pubs within reach of the guest house and you can walk of maybe as a better option get a taxi back to yourself catering accommodation when you have enjoyed a beverage or two.
